Any Nassau County or Eastern Queens venue suggestions?
Hi everyone! I just got engaged 3 weeks ago and am already pretty intimidated by all the planning and decisions that have to be made over the next year (or less if I change my mind on the date again, lol). I've only looked at one venue so far (Swan Club) and liked it, but want to see what else is out there. I'm expecting about 50 - 75 people, so it will be intimate, and my budget is fairly tight. Does anyone have any suggestions on venues I should check out. As it stands, I am aiming for a March 5th wedding because that will be our 10th anniversary dating. However, 3/5/14 is a Wednesday, so I might just change the date to some time in the Fall of 2013 (depending on what is available) to be more considerate of my guests (local and out-of-state). Thanks in advance for your help!

Fox Hollow (has a hotel next door)Jericho Terrace
Chateau La Mer
Flower Fields (all inclusive for 100 ppl...my friend is doing this and it's about $10,000 total)
All the above are very reasonable in pricing!!!
Good Luck don't worry take it slow, you'll find the perfect place. I've been engaged for almost a yr and just started looking at the end of Feb. for my venue.

Douglaston Manor in Douglaston and Verdi's in Whitestone are both in eastern Queens. Russo's on the Bay has a sister property called Vetro that I think accommodates smaller weddings- it's in Howard Beach, so not eastern Queens, but it's right by the Belt Pkwy. Floral Terrace and the Inn at NHP are on the border in Nassau, but have high minimums. HTH!

Thank you all! I got an email quote from Westbury Manor and it was very close to the Swan Club's pricing. I'm going to try to go see it in person this weekend. A friend of mine also recommended Verdi's so I'll check that out too. Since there won't be any flowers blooming in early March, I'm less concerned with the outdoors areas of the venues and care more about the food, liquor and meeting the guest minimum. If anyone has ever been to Verdi's, please let me know how the food was. Thanks!Welcome New Vendors
