Any new home owners heard anything about STAR applications?
I am worried that they are going to call us up and say what we sent isn't enough.

we aplied and NEVER heard anything back...my taxes are paid through my esrow account with my mortage company.

Ok so Matt just talked to someone in the office and they said if you only sent the deed it won't be enough you will need the voter registration, or license, or 2 utility bills!
What a pain. Now I have to run arouns and do this. The original person I spoke to said the deed and the application would be enough to get the ball rolling. She also said you should have recieved something in the mail a few weeks after you submitted the application.

I few months after I sent the application in I got a request for my marriage license and 2 utility bills.

Jenhos I sent you a FM last week that you if you request the voter registration card, the turn-around time is very fast.

FH went today to apply in Nassau County. He gathered all the stuff... and they only needed his license!!!! He was soooo annoyed!

My DH filed in person in Mineola. As far as we know all is fine. He did need all the stuff they ask for though, utility bills & such.

We never received any notification. It just showed up on our school tax bill. Something like savings from Star for this period $xxx.00.

I did!! We were approved....I actually called them!! make sure to have your section, block, lot # handy and they will tell you.. =) Good luck!
