Any news on the Inn at New Hyde Park

Was wondering if anyone has news about The Inn at New Hyde Park?

I went to the bridal show there in April and the Bridal Suite came out really nice.

Any updates?

I am not getting married there but I always pass by it and it looks really nice. I remember I would pass by it all the time when it wasnt under construction and now it looks really different. What are they going to do with the back, they have a huge back space, they will prob make that into something pretty. Soooo exciting to who ever is getting married there to see the finished product. Hey when are they going to be finished with it, maybe I can have my eparty there

I am a Inn at New Hyde Park bride! I live right by it and pass every single day! Within the past three weeks they've done a ton of work! It'll be ready this September, and they are booked for next May, June, July and most of August already!

They bought the 12 houses behind it and are making underground parking, a new lobby, brand new ballroom, an atrium that flows from the coctail room, a garden, another picture area..the two houses the kept will be a florist and a Bed and Breakfast with an indoor studio! It's sick how awesome it's going to be!!!!

The bridal suite is now the entire upstairs....a full living room, bathroom, dining room, lounge area, personal bartender and waiters..the best part, only one wedding at a time! It's going to be amazing, I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, maybe now that i quit my full time job to go back to school, I will have the time to go check it out!

dont worry, the wedding money has been put aside, Im not THAT crazy! LOL

Plus, I will get a part time job!

I too drive by all the time. More often these days so i can see the progress.

The are currently putting the stone of the front and left side of the building. The current entrance is also being adjusted. The hole in the back still pretty much looks the same, but the stone walling int he front looks great. If i get a chance i will take some pics....but I can't promise.

Are they going to have a place for brides to take their pictures? How big of a wedding will they be able to handle?

my friend (DanielleAlain07) is having her wedding there 9/23/07 and everything is supposed to be done by then!

yes, there should be places to take pictures. That is what i am planning on doing. I think there is a gazebo, gardens, fountains and such in the plans.

the main room is supposed to hold 400 guests

Many spots..they'll be a studio in the Bed and Breakfast, the oudoor area, the atrium, the garden and the rooms as well as the lounges. The room they have ( there is only one wedding at a time) can hold up to 400 people.
