FH is complaing of chest pains...above his boob and on like the top of his left arm. He says he thinks he just pulled his pectoral muscle. Im getting angry...He wont go to the hospital. What do I do? He is just so stubborn and Im getting nervous

hey marisa. i'm no doc, but i'm sure he just pulled something (above his boob?) and it'll go away on its own. if its still there tomorrow, go to the er and see what they say. has he been doing any heavy lifting?

Hey Sarah...No he has not been doing lifting. His dad has had heart attacks...It gets me nervous. I jsut dont think he wants to sit in the ER. Which is very stubborn. Im really upset with him

oh i see. so ask him to please get it checked out, just to make you feel better. that should work. this is what i do w/my fh when something is bothering him.

UMMMMM better safe than sorry...I would have definitely gotten him to an after hours medical place (like a First Med) if he didn't want to goto a hospital. Don't mess around w/ stuff like that, esp. considering his family situation.
