Emotional side does but practical side no and that side wins. No room for a baby right now-still working on my masters and I want to be settled down because I want to stay home with them till they start pre-k. Our issue is I am almost 27 and FH is 32. I thought maybe we could start in 4-5 years but he doesn't want to have kids close to forty and everyone around us keeps saying 30+ is too old to start because we 'can't enjoy them' as much when we're 'older.' ***...

-shrugs- We will ahve to see how it plays out for us. I want them, but to have them before we are really situated for them, would be selfish.

Ohhhh yes! Our daughter is almost 2 & lately I've been wanting to have a teeny baby all over again. Plus, I don't want my kids to be too far apart. We're hoping to start trying in early '08.

Well normally I'd say no, but today one of my co-workers brought her 6-month old baby into work... what a cutie!!!!! I couldn't stop grinning looking at the baby, thinking I want one!!!!

Uggggg!!! I hate it when people say things like that!!
From my experience babysitting for tons of people's kids, the older parents (late thirties to fifties!) have a lot more patience and tend to enjoy their kids more. They also tend to have more money and have to make less sacrifices which makes them happier too. Not a scientific poll but just my experience.

In regards to the question: I don't have baby fever. We want to wait at least five years before we even start thinking about it. We may not have kids at all..we shall see.

Oh god no. I wonder what one would look lie, but when I am at the beach trying to relax and I hear the annoying 'moooooooooom' (in a whiney voice, it helps me not want them yet

I agree. I kind of wish I had baby fever. As I am in my mid 30's so I have to get a move on, but every night I relax after work, I think 'I don't think I can do that' Oh well only time will tell.

I've have my moments. I love my long showers & baths and I'm not ready to give that up just yet. Plus we need to save up a heck of a lot of $$$ since much of it is currently accounted for.
