I used to feel that way but looking at some girls pics from here, makes me want to do it. They all look so beautiful. Plus I feel like you need a little extra for pics.

We're doing make up ourselves. I usually don't wear make up at all, so for me to put on anything will be a big deal and any time I've ever gone to get it done they plaster it on no matter how many times I tell them to make it look natural. Plus I want the rest of the girls to look pretty natural too.

Im pretty lucky to kind of know how to do mymake up because myfriend & cousin are make-up artists. But imstillhavingmy friend do it for teh wedding day! lol

i would go for trials...i also had bad experiences way before i was even engaged. But the good thing is that on LIW you can see the work of make up artists before you even book a trial. See which make up artist you like by looking at past brides and trials of other girls. This way you know that this person can do make up the way you like it.
The only problem with doing it yourself is that although it can look great in person, in pictures it might not. I know when i do my own make up and do it natural and with light make up i see the difference in pics. It can look great in person but then in pics you can look pale or see dark spots, especially with the lighting of professional cameras. I know some ppl hate that they can put a bit much make up on you but they do it many times bc of how it will look in pics. Or you might get that real white face and darker body look.
I have pics from this one night i went out, in person i LOVED how my make up came out. I used a very sheer natural foundation. I cant even stand to look at pics of myself from that night. My face looks 10x whiter than my body, just didnt like the look. I cant even imagine what it would've looked like with a camera whose flash would be alot stronger

I think it's good to have it done because even if it looks like a lot of makeup is on , in pictures it doesn't look like as much. There are pics in my album of my trial with Marie Katz- I think it looks pretty natural. When I do it myself it never looks like I have anything on in pictures

I am truely considering it! B/c I've done it for other weddings I've been in and everyone complemented me on it! I think it could work and at least I know that I'll look the way I want at the end.
