I am a very big fan of the preggo photos that I have seen my friends do and when the time comes I am certain it is something I want to do. I already told Imagine they are hired

The ladies that would not do the pix, could you please state why?? do you not love the way your body looks now that you are getting that nice round belly and know there is a blessing in there?? You also have that preggo woman glow?? I guess I cannot understand someone who was never self conscious before about taking pix would start feeling that way now about taking preggo pix. Since I have never been pregnant, please break it down for me?? Is there something that I am missing??

Well Shamma here's my saga, sad but true...

While I'm totally ecstatic about being pregnant and know that a life is growing inside me, I've spent the last 2 days crying because I don't fit into anything anymore!!!!! Ridiculous, I know, but being that I always had to battle a weight problem and am self-conscious about it, it kind of struck me this week (there's a new moon also, which makes you nuts to begin with). I know it's not me getting fat on my own, it's a different thing -- and believe me, I'm eating really healthy and wasn't a big junk food to begin with. I kind of sprouted overnight this week and I REALLY look pregnant now -- I used to see my boobs when I looked down, now I see my belly!!! But inside that belly is my little Bear Cub, so that's ok.

While I don't mind the pix of my belly with clothes on (I think -- ), I will not be taking any of my belly w/o the shirt on!!! That's just me. But I say more power to anybody that does!

I can only speak for my self conscious self.
I am already losing my waist and getting chubby in the face and *ackhem* rear, although I'm not showing at all yet. I am definitely getting the picture that I will not be one of the women with just a cute round belly, and I am not thrilled about it.
I have fought my weight my entire life, and I feel like I have lost control of my body. YES, I know pregnancy is beautiful, but it's hard to feel beautiful when your butt is getting wider but your belly is still the same.
Hopefully when my belly starts to grow every other part of me will slow down.

Shamma, I wouldn't have mine taken b/c currently I dont' find the big bellies attractive. But I like the little bellies (i.e in the beginning of the pregnancy, I guess). And plus, I am super self concious about my weight at well...

I have taken pics every few weeks on my digital camera. I've lifted my shirt to show my belly in some.

Shamma, to answer your questioin, I'm only 5 feet tall and even though I'm 'petite' I was still about 15 pounds overweight before I was pg. Being short and pg is not that great b/c since I am not slender or thin boned, I look more 'stocky' and my entire middle including my butt is big. I've seen taller women carry their bellies so well, and I don't at all. Another reason I'm self conscious is b/c I have major stretch marks, probaby genetic or b/c I have dark skin. I'm not to thrilled about them either.

This doesn't mean that I don't love being pg or that I'm not enjoying my pregnancy becasue I really am.

Not to say that I looked like ANY Of those gorgeous picture-perfect models when I was prego, but I was a ham for the camera, at any time, to take 'pregnant pictureS' even when i was barely showing, I had john take pics of me from my side, and me holding my belly, there we were in the middle of the sidewalk, people walking by, john was going to kill me, lol. I loved every second. I wanted a million pics to capture the breathtaking event, not my 'Breathtaking' body, LOL.
Even the night that my water broke, it was 2 hours before my water broke and I asked john to take a few pics of me, hanging out in my sweats, a few bellly exposd ones. I really wanted to do a professional one, but never did. Maybe next time around I will...

This is NOT to say that I never felt self conscious, or never felt (like Jenn said) that I lost control of what and where my body was going, lol. There are days where you feel like a big waddling ball, but there are SO MANY MORE DAYS where you feel like the mircle of life is happening right inside you, you are walking on water, you are a woman, God's masterpiece, and your pregnant body is an amazing artwork in itself...

I think I would but I dont know if I would want my belly showing....

For the woman who did it great for them. I dont know if I would do it. Maybe with my belly not showing I would.

I still have a lot of time to even be thinking of that.
