Hi everyone and let me just say that I have checked out alot of the other topics and pics and all of you are just LOVELY!
However I have a delima! I am older (40) and have been married before (and so has my fiance') But I have never had a 'REAL' wedding! I can't afford much but have decided to have my wedding at my mothers beautiful home out on her deck by her pond... I would love some ideas on how I should wear my hair... I have med-long hair and would like to wear it half up and half down... I won't be wearing a veil or anything like that but would like to have some small flowers in my hair... Any ideas???

First off Congrats and Welcome!! Here are some pictures I have saved.....
Congratulations, and welcome. 40 isn't old. My fiance is 40, and I'm 33. But neither of us have been married before. Anyway...about the hair thing. I suggest some kind of Lily behind your ear, or maybe you can even do a grecian crown. Hope that helps.

There is so much here to help you and we are all so willing to give you whatever advice and guidance we can. Up at the top of the screen is the >>Search option. I find it VERY useful. It can help you locate threads that other brides have created in the past. Also, you can click on peoples names and look at their profiles and albums. If you click on my name iamvocal72 and scroll down you will see a bunch of albums I have created and you can look through those pics.

Welcome! 40 isn't old, I am 40 and my FH is 39! I have found some great information on this board. If you have any questions just post them on the 07 Board and you will get tons of good advice.

Congratulations and welcome!!!!
There are so many ideas on this board on everything from do-it-yourself projects to how to wear your hair.
I'm sure you'll find everything you need to create your dream wedding at your mother's house. And if you don't find it, ask....there's always someone out there with some great advice.

Hey, I'm 40 too! My FH has been married before, this is my first time. I finally found the right one.
I have pretty long hair and I think I'm doing the half-up half-down thing too. I always wear my hair down unless I'm running or at the gym (or cleaning, but that doesn't happen often! ) so I feel as if I should wear it at least partially down. I want to look like me on my wedding day, you know!
Anyway, your hair idea sounds very pretty. Just wanted to let you know that you're not the only older bride out there!

You are not old. I was 44 when DH and I got married (he was 46) and I feel like half of that. Best day of my live.
