Any one else getting married at St. Patricks in Bay Shore?? (overall church question)
FH and I were driving yesterday and he said to me 'do you know why bagpipes are banned in churches?' I said no.. where he goes onto say 'well 'miss Irish dance teacher, knows EVERYTHING there is about Irish history ( ) its because the Scottish used bagpipes to declare war' (what being an Irish Dance teacher AND a former member of the AOH has to do with the Scotts- well I don't know)
so I told him (because at this point he was looking for some excitement) 'that doesn't make any sense because OUR church offered us indoor bagpipes for our ceremony'
he then went on to tell me I'm crazy
soooooo.. I remember them telling us that and me getting all excited about it and giving him the PLEASE eyes and him giving me the 'NO WAY' eyes... did they offer them to anyone else? or am I living in lala land again?

Many churches will not allow bagbipes inside for the exact reason your FH stated. However, some are more liberal than others and might allow them to be in the back part of the church. We had a bagpiper at our ceremony, and I honestly couldn't even tell you whether he was inside or outside. It really wouldn't matter much to tell you the truth, because he'd only be playing before and after the ceremony, KWIM?
