I have three weddings this weekend One friday one sunday ( i'm a BM) and one monday evening can you believe that and I have work tuesdsy cant take off its the first day of schoool. Just curious what does everyone think of weddings on holiday weekends. i dont mind but my FH thinks its an inconvienence to people he wouldnt book ours for the 4th of july for that saem reason. Anyone else have weddings this weekend? Anyone else think its wrong to have a wedding on a holiday weekend?

I have a wedding Sunday evening. I am kind of annoyed about it...just because I would have liked to go away....the wedding is in NJ and I have to stay over so not thrilled.
I think its fine to have a wedding holiday weekends but I guess you have to assume many people wont be able to make it.
This weekend especially. Its my cousins wedding and he said many people couldnt come because they have to bring their kids to college....so they have a much smaller guest list then they originally thought.

I have one Sunday! I soooooo don't feel like going.
I had weddings last year on both Memorial and Labor Day. I think it's becoming such a trend that I have just accepted that I will not go away ever again on those holidays.

I have a wedding on Sunday night, and it doesn't bother me. I did have one of 4th of July, and I didn't go becasue it was the holiday.

I don't really love to be invited to holiday weddings but I understand that for some brides and grooms this could save some money - booking on a holiday weekend! However, I would much rather go to a sunday evening wedding where there was a holiday the next day than a regular sun eve. wedding. I can't enjoy myself knowing I have to work the next day.

I don't really mind them. Most of the times we don't have big plans for holiday weekends and rarely travel on them since prices of everything are usually inflated. But I wouldn't like to have 3 weddings in one weekend

we were supposed to be getting married THIS FRIDAY! But because my catering hall screwed up, we had to move up the date to MAY 2003. BOY AM I GLAD WE DID. This Friday marks the 2-year anniversary of our engagement, thus why we originally wanted to marry on this day
Hopefully the weather will not be brutal as previous labor day weekends! ENJOY
