i swear the honeymoon has caused the biggest stress! anyways can u guys post or fm how much you are paying for french polynesia? and who your travel agent is? is it possible to do it for around 8,000? TIA

We are having the same difficulty! We still haven't booked our honeymoon but plan on going to Tahiti over the summer. We want to stick to around the same budget but are having a lot of trouble. We are considering a cruise around Tahiti now, which is around the same amount as quotes to stay on the different islands but includes all the food which is very expensive.

Ok, here's the thing about FP - a good general rule of thumb for going out there is to budget about $1000 for each number of days you want to go. So if you want to go for 7 days, your trip should cost about $7000. For a ten day trip, about $10,000, etc etc.

Now, your trip can cost a LOT more than $1000 per day depending on which resort you go to, the types of rooms you stay in etc. But it could also cost less than $1000 per day if you make changes to the same things (types of rooms, resorts, etc).

We used Tom Varghese (aka Travel Tom) too and I also HIGHLY recommend him. He is really great about just helping you figure out what you can and can't do within your budget. And he was always willing to answer all of my millions of questions, lol.

so ive contacted pacific for less, and tom (both through email and im waiting for responses) any other travel agents i should look into for getting the best deal? i want to really shop around to see what i can get
