good question! I was wondering about this as well. The white gowns sometimes look so whie they look bluish...I don't think it would look nice on my skin tone.

ETA: mine was ivory, and the veil was 'off white'. every MFG calls colors something else. All I know is that I cannot wear stark white.

I ordered mine in ivory (the one I tried on was also ivory)...so its just a tad off from that stark white...which I didn't think suited my dress...but I am still a little nervous about it!!!! I have a feeling everyone will think its white, even though its not.

Mine is 'pearl'. It looks white until you put it next to something that is actually white.

FYI - every companys idea of white, off white & ivory are different. My dress is called ivory but it looks white to the eye.

I'm wearing Ivory but I don't have a pic of my gown since it didn't come in yet. I did look at some Ivory samples and they are just a shade off of the white and with my skin tone that will definitely look better because I have red hair and I'm kind of pale. Every shop I went to told me to order the Ivory so you can probably ask them.
