Any Opera 3000 brides around?

I'm a little freaked out about the post on the 'HELP!!! I need an italian american band!!!' thread below saying that Opera 3000 is breaking up. Anyone hear anything like this or is it a bad rumor?

oh, i'm so glad you responded!!!! i know, i can't imagine starting to look for bands again! i think that post was a little shady because if you notice the 'bride' who posted it has only posted once. plus i don't think any of the bandmembers we saw were related to mimmo at all except for his son. i'm thinking this is someone trying to start trouble (maybe from oasis - have no idea, just a guest). anyway, my fh called and left a message. if nothing else we will at least let them know that someone is bad mouthing them. if we hear back from them i'll let you know.

ok Mimmo just called me. he was shocked. he said none of that is true. they are still booking and have gigs for 2006. he just purchased new screens for their performances. he was obviously upset but grateful that we called. he said to feel free and check out their showcase on tuesday.

I think I just breathed the hugest sigh of relief ever!! Thank you for checking on this and for setting the record straight! Opera 3000 is actually one of my favorite vendors -- I was so impressed with them. Thanks again

So was I. I'm just as relieved. I'm also so annoyed at people who come on here and pretend to be brides. It's really sad if businesses feel they need to stoop to that level. Anyway, I'm glad that's settled!

Hello I am getting married on septemebr 4 2005 was going to hire the band the corozza brothers has anyone heard about them? I need a really good Italian american band I am having a huge wedding with like 450 people and about 300 of them are Italian!!! I hope someone can help

Hi. We almost hired the Carozza Brothers. They are very good. Unfortunately they don't have a website or do showcases. It makes is a little hard to find out about them. But we went to see them at a party they played at. Their Italian was very good and the American music was very up-to-date. If we hadn't booked Opera 3000 we would have booked either them or Mirage. They have a website mirage-music.com. good luck. finding a band was so much work! let me know if you have any other questions.

ok . I was just trying to help . You had 1 post at one time on this forum too you know. Maybe you are right and you already saw the replacements in the band. Not standing in the shade on this end. Everything is sunny and beautiful. They want alittle to much info to join this site and I'm not interested in any junk mail. My wedding is all planned!

well i'm glad to hear that. i'm certainly not trying to start any problems. you just can't expect to post something like that about a vendor and not expect the people who have already booked that vendor to freak out a little.
