Any opinions on Deja Vu Studios

I did a search on here and found some old info. I would like to hear from brides that recently met with them. We saw them tonight at the Floral Terrace bridal show and booked an appointment with them. Does anyone have any good/bad feedback? Does anyone have an idea of their price range?

Thanks!!!

Re: Any opinions on Deja Vu Studios

I met them at a showcase at Sans Souci. That's where I'm having my wedding and they are the house photographers there. I was not too impressed by their books. It just wasn't my style. I found the photos all to be very posed. I was also turned off by the rep (I don't remember his name). I was trying to get a real feel for what they offered and wanted to know more about their prices and services. He refused to answer any of my questions. He said it wasn't the place to talk about that kind of stuff (by the way, there were not any other brides around, so it's not like I would have been taking up too much of his time). He instead insisted that I book an appointment if I wanted to know any specifics. Since I wasn't in love with his work or his attitude, I decided not to book. Also, I did a Better Business Bureau search on them and I think there were a few complaints against them. You might want to check it out.

This is just my experience, though. It would be interesting to hear from someone who used them.

Tammy: Yes I would love to the proofs. I've heard really good things about them. I think we're going to make an appointment with them.

Re: Any opinions on Deja Vu Studios

I booked Deja Vu for my December 1st wedding at San Souci. I basically went with all their house vendors. I didn't have much time to go comparison shopping and I felt there price was in the ball park. I dealt with Dennis, who I also met at a Sans Souci bridal showcase. This is news to me that they have some BBB complaints against them.

Re: Any opinions on Deja Vu Studios

Shari,
Don't freak out about the BBB complaints. I was searching about a lot of vendors, so I'm not positive what the complaints were. I'm sure they will do a wonderful job for you, since they are the house vendors at Sans Souci and do a lot of business with them. Let me know how your wedding goes. Mine is at Sans Souci next August.

Re: Any opinions on Deja Vu Studios

Thanks Lesley. I will tell you that I highly recommend their house florist, Donald Hedgecock. I met with him 2 weeks ago and he is extremely nice and you can't beat his prices, especially if you're a Sans Souci bride. I would definitely give him a call.

Re: Any opinions on Deja Vu Studios

A friend of mine used them and her pics came out beautiful, but the majority were poses, not too many candid shots. Depends on what you're looking for.
