While I am not a teacher...just wanted you to know in college I worked in the mall at Discoery Zone and I had illnesses i had never had before and have never had since then...pink eye, strep throat everything......thats the one downfall of working with kids, but everything else is well worth it.
I student taught for 2nd, k and 6th. I was never so sick in my life as i was went i taught the little ones. I found out towards the end that if you take econasia (don't know how to spell it) it really keeps you from getting sick. I used it the rest of the time and never got sick again. You can get it at GNC or even the supermarket. Good luck.

YES!!! I teach in HS. I was soo sick this week. I'm finally starting to feel a little better today.
every time i spend time with the kindergartners, boom, i'm sick! don't know if it is from them or just coincidence!

I lost my voice the second week of school and was extremely sick. It's tough getting back into the swing of things once we've been off the whole summer.
