Any petite brides out there?

Any petite brides out there?

My best friend just got engaged and she has been helping me so much in my dress search. Now it is her turn to start shopping, but she is really unenthusiastic because she is very petite. Everywhere we go, the smallest we find is a size 8. Do you ladies know of any stores besides David's that carry smaller petite sample sizes?

THANKS!!!

The range i've seen has been 8-12 in samples. Some places clip and pin the dress so tight it will look like your size from the front.

Lillette's in baldwin does a great job at that.

All the stores that I went to clipped the back of the dress.

don't worry about the sample size. I had to have every dress clipped or pinned to try on and i actually think it gave me a better idea of what it will look like altered. You get to see the dress lay flat and fit a lot better than if it was too small.

Yeah, i agree, I'm very petite myself and none of the places, except David's Bridal, has tiny sizes. There's no reason for stores to carry larger than size 6 samples since most women are size 6 and up these days...

The majority are size 8 and 10. Your friend should be glad she's tiny and not large 'cus it's so much harder to try anything on if she's a size 12 and up. :D

I am teeny tiny and it was so difficult when I went to try on dresses because even when they clipped the samples the clips didn't really hold and it took away so much of the detail because the dress was literally folded over so much.
