Any recommendations for a restaurant in Little Italy?

FH and I usually go to our typical Mexican place every time we go to the city. With Valentine's Day, FH suggested we switch it up and go to Little Italy. I know! FH actually THOUGHT! Haha. Nah, he's good with social plans at least. I'll just be lucky to get a valentine's card.

So...I've been to a few places in Little Italy but I'm trying to find what people most recommend. What places do you like to go to? Thanks!

Luna's on Canal St. It looks like a total hole in the wall, but the food is amazing!!

I agree with Puglia's, but whatever you do DO NOT GO TO VINCENT'S. We had the most terrible dinner there and my husband got deathly ill and I got very nauseas.

Paisano's on Mulberry has excellent food. If you mention Opi & Anthony they give you a free glass of wine!!!! FH listen's to them in the car. So annoying!!!

Positano's on mulberry. It's been my place to go in Little Italy for 6 years. Once I knew I wanted to get serious with FW, we went there on our third date. The vodka sauce was so good it inspired me to learn how to make it for myself. FW devours the gnocchi there.

The other great thing about Positano's: not to take anything away from those other places... Positano's isn't quite as well known, so you may not have to wrestle for a table, especially with the 14th less than a week away.

Can't recommend it enough.

Tell em you're related to me.

And it's just a few storefronts down from another Little Italy classic, Ferrera's cafe. The cannolis here are no joke.

FH and I hate La Mela. We had the most disgusting meal with the most annoying street type guitar performer there. We love Amici II on Mulberry st.

This is our FAVE!! Great food!! Go back in the summer time -- they have a huge garden in the back of the restaurant!
