Any recommendations for halls in New Jersey or Queens?

Any recommendations for halls in New Jersey or Queens?

So me and FH have it narrowed down to South Shore County Club on SI if any of you are familir with it. Our first pick of Russo's only gave us the Jan date which we decided against and doesn't have any other dates available. We loved that place too. Any other places in Queens not too far form Russo's or in NJ I should look at? Not lookng in LI as only a handful of family are from there, most it's kinda far for them. I wanna make a choice within the week and since we looked at 8 already I don't wanna go overboad with it.

VENETIAN IS BEAUTIFUL AND $$$$$$$
I wanted to do it there sooo bad - but it wasn't realistic for us.

I have also been to the Rockleigh and it is beautiful there! Their cocktail hours are also amazing!!

There is a new place in queens called the Elite Palace but it's a good 20 minutes from Russo's if not more.

I'm going to wedding at the Venetian this weekend so I'll have a review. The wedding itself is 70 grand and they are paying 180 a plate at the so that's way out of our price league lol

my dads cousin had her second wedding at South Shore Country Club a few years ago. it was amazing. there is a 2010 bride having her reception there. (mikendeanna)

The Mill at Spring Lake Heights is in New Jersey. a friend of mine got married there. they were very happy with the services they received

i did look at the West Mount Country Club in New Jersey. it was beautiful but the banquet manager was ruid & really couldn't be bothered with us. he turned down a lot of my ideas & when we only wanted to guarantee 125 he only showed us one room. my sister was at a wedding there in the bigger room & when we asked to see it he made a comment like, 'why would you want to see something you can't have.'

OO - forgot about this place! FH cousin got married there last summer and it was great! Cocktail Hour was really nice and it was a HUGE space! The reception room had a lounge set up and the food was excellent! The view from the outside terrace was also really nice!

it depends where you go. there are expensive places & cheap places everywhere. it just depends on the time of year & day of the week.

It's in Franklin Square, but it's really close to Queens. It only took me about 45 minutes to get from Jersey to there the other day, and that was with some Staten Island traffic!

Getting married at Bridgewater Manor in NJ. Its about 45 minutes from NYC in Central NJ. There are places in NJ that are reasonable and some that are expensive!! I am from Long Island but my fiancee is from Southern NJ so we had to pick a place in the middle.

Defentially more expensive in NJ. The palace is 160 a plate and a wedding I went to at the Venetian this past Saturday the plates were 180. There was no appetizer except for a salad which most people left and imo for the price the food was good but ok. I don't know what your price range is but it is defentially out of mine. I'm actually checking out the bridgewater manor on Saturday. The pics on the website look pretty and prices are very reasonable.
