Any Recommendations? - sorry it´s long

As I have previously posted, I am a little stressed about being able to plan my wedding from overseas and only having about 4 days in October to do it in person. I finally became ok with the situation and thought it would def be possible to do it. However, I am realizing there are a lot of little things that I would also have to do and don´t think that I have the time.
I would like to go to NY in September to be able to get a head start on things. That way when I go to NY in October it would be just to finalize everything. Right now there is a sale where I can get a round trip ticket for $600 for mid September. The only thing is that we are on a tight budget and so I would feel so bad spending this (that´s basically my budget for my dress right there!!) and it would be hard coming up with it anyway.
The only thing I could think about would be if I could make the money back working while I was there then it would be worth it. I was wondering if anyone could recommend either temp agencies or companies they might know of that would be looking to hire someone around that time of year. Even if it´s just for a week, at least it would be something.
I have experience in management, sales, customer service, bookkeeping, teaching english/spanish/computers . . basically you name it and I´ve done it at some point. (even taking care of kids!) I don´t really care what the job is and am willing to work off the books (its prob better that way).
