my dad loves it..he cries everytime he hears it

'Now and Forever' by Carole King
'There You'll Be' by Faith Hill
'I Hope You Dance' by Lee Ann Womack

Those are my favorites. I am probably going to dance with my dad to 'The Way You Look Tonight'. The last lyrics of the song are 'just the way you look tonight...' Just before the last lyrics are being sung, I am going to walk with my dad over to my mom. Then, when the last lyrics are sung, my dad will kiss my mom. :)

My cousin chose 'There You'll Be', which is a BEAUTIFUL song. It's the perfect father/daughter dance.

Mine is 'There you'll Be!' Its also perfect for me because I've already moved away. (You may know it from the pearl harbor movie)

my song is a little different. I like 'Whenever Whatever' by Maxwell.

I love how he says that whenever she needs him, he'll be there for her and that he would give her the air he breathes, but then he's also saying bye bye baby. It makes me very sentimental listening to it.

I agree... I'm not a fan of country twang, but when I first heard this song, I cried and knew it had to be the one for me and my dad. My sister danced w/ my dad to 'My Girl' at her wedding 4 yrs ago, and since our dad got us listening to 50s & 60s music when we were little it was a perfect choice too.

That is the BEST song, but there is no way my lashes will stay on for it!

My dad always said he liked it until a friend sang it at my cousins funeral (9/11 sadly) and my dad squeezed my hand so tight while she sang it. Such a touching moment but too sad a memory.
