Any suggesstiosn for a good vacum to put on my registry?

I have been updating my registry here and there and realized I am missing a vacum, which we need. Any suggestiuons on a good but reasonably priced one?

My friend swears by her Oreck vacuum. But I don't know if they are sold through stores or their own distributor/manufacturer. Do a google search for the website. They are more expensive than a hoover but she said she's had hers for 10 years and it works like it is brand new. I think there's a lifetime guarantee. Her mom has had the same one for like 25 or 30 years too.
