My wedding has a guest list of about 300 people. We really can't lower this # due to family. Does anyone have any suggestions on where we should look to accomodate so many people? So many places can't hold that many people and I really don't want it to be crowded.

Re: any suggestions?
Nassau county would be best and of course the cheaper the better. We really can't go over $65.

What about Crest Hollow Country Club? - I think they may be in your price range... but not positive... However, I'm pretty sure you will not be able to get Chataeu Briand at $65pp... Unless you do a afternoon wedding or have your wedding off peak. But definatly check EVERYTHING out! There is plenty out there!Good luck!!!
Even though there is a recent bad review post about Jericho Terrace, I wouldn't rule them out either. I know for sure they have a room for 300

Re: any suggestions?
Is $65 your total budget per person including tax & services charges? If it is I think the L.I. catering halls suggested to you won't go that low. But then again you do have a high # of guests so they should be able to give you a better deal. And it all depends on your menu & service selections. Also, evening parties on Saturdays & Sundays are most expensive. Would you consider other days or maybe an afternoon wedding? You need to just shop around and negotiate. I think most places on the island can accomodate 300.

Re: any suggestions?
You might be able to cut out any one under 18 (other than neices and nephews), 2nd cousin and other very extended family members, people that your parents are just adding to the list that you don't know. Also consider a Sunday afternoon and off-season to save some money. When you look at a hall's price add per person charge, 19% service charge then 8.5% tax. A few halls do not charge the 19%, such as the Old Field Club. Try Meadow Club- although I think 250 is their max. Will ALL 300 be attending? You might want to do STD cards to gauge. Fox Hollow can probably also accomodate your guests.

Re: any suggestions?
Crest Hollow can definitely hold that many...the old school I worked for had theirs there annually...and they would have 1000+ students there...
