any suggestions for hawaiian themed favors!?

i haven't been here in a LONG time..but I hope some of you ladies can help me. I have 81 days until i get married! YaY!

But I am still having trouble finding favors to go along w/our wedding theme. All I have come across are orchid gel candles, floating candles, bath salts etc and nothing is appealing to me. I want it to be somewhat of a unique wedding favor.

What should I do?

Are any of you ladies having a hawaiian themed wedding or know someone who had/is having one who can suggest a good place or website to go to?

I live in Queens, but I have no problem traveling (just not to far please )

What about filling these boxes with some kind of traditional cookie or chocolates? Maybe like a macadamia white chip cookie, i've seen that somewhere before...

macadamia nuts are absurdly popular in hawaii - you could do white choc mac nut cookies in the little boxes.

could also do anything beach themed.

how about mini hurricane candle holders filled with sand and shells, and you can put a small candle in the center?

Mary (debismom) did something very similar with her daughters shower favors , and they were stunning!

I get the Oriental Trading catalogs in my classroom, and they usually have Hawaiian and luau themed items. The quality may not be as good as other places (I have not ordered from them yet, so I don't know in person), but if you're looking for ideas, the catalog is a good idea.

Check them out here: Oriental Trading

I've ordered from OTC many times and never been disappointed.. they have lots of Hawaiian themed stuff at reasonable prices and everything ships really fast via FedEx/UPS

i am using those lahala boxes and filling them with shortbread cookies. You can try these places: big island candies, Honolulu cookie company and there is some auntie N's____ cookies as well. I think Big Islands are the best, just my opinion though I forget the last name sorry. FM me for more details if you like
