i just finished she's come undone by wally lamb...omg. it was an oprah pick. the main character is a girl and the story follows her from 4-40. great read, especially for a woman.

i ::heart:: the kite runner. i heard his new book is really good too. kite runner fans should definitely give middlesex (jeffrey eugenides) a try--very similar style.

I'm surprised you're not buying books for your kids... everytime I go into a bookstore I wind up buying more books for school than for myself!

Yeah I get them too but I'm like a kid in the young adult section... when the Gossip Girl series came out I was just as excited as my kids to read the books!

I'm a big Nicholas Sparks fan... I've read about 4 or 5 of his books and I have about 3 more at home to read... I LOVED his sequel to The Notebook called The Wedding. I recommend that one!!
