Cheers to us!! I love the place..most gorgeous place!! And all I hear are good things about the Surf! So idt we have anyting to really worry about (I hope)!! Which room are you in?

Upstairs...on a Friday evening. However, we are working on Save the Dates and our list has doubled. We could have had the downstairs if everyone had given me accurate counts. ugh!!

Ahh not to sure yet..I met with Arite over the summer and he gave me some great ideas but I am going to meet with him in Novemeber to get some ideas for fall flowers.

I met with Diana Gould last weekend & can give you a full review if she's one of the vendors you're considering & am meeting with Arcadia this weekend (so can give a review after I meet with them). Let me know!

Yes the only vendor they require use their florist. They own their own florist/event planner and we have to use them...But would love some insight on other vendors for other things besides flowers?!?! Do you know of any hotels by the surf club that are nice that I can do a hotel block??

They require us to use theirs. I can't remember the name off hand but it is at the location and the guys name is artie. They have another location Westchester florist I think and that guy is Danny? I hear Diana Gould is amazing though and thanks for thinking of us!

Diana Gould does beautiful work but don't waste your time. I just went to her a few weeks ago. The designer I met with was very nice. I told her my budget and she said she'd definitely be able to work with the price I gave her. When I received my proposal a few days later, I was floored when I saw that my grand total was $4,000-5,000 over the budget I gave her. I felt like I completely wasted by time by going there. Still beyond pissed about this.

As far as hotels are concerned... a lot of people in the area either use The Rye Town Hilton (only about 15mins away and have shuttles to the Surf Club) or there's a Radisson literally down the street from the hotel. We looked at Glen Island for our wedding (literally 2mins from Surf Club) and those were the two recommended halls on their list. Crowne Plaza in White Plains is also another one the local catering halls use. When we looked at Glen Island, the Hilton was the one strongly recommended to us out of the 3 I listed.

Oh thanks! I'll have to check out the Hilton. We checked out the radisson but we were going to go with the Residence Inn Marriot... since it was only 1 mile away and in New Roc City...seemed like there was a lot to do and a bar for an after party...Do you know anything about it?

They had told us there were no hotels with shuttles included. If this has an included shuttle that would be huge!

When you say they have their own event planner what do they do? Can I still hire my own DOC? I'm about to sign a contract. lol
