Hello from another Swan Club bride!

26 days and counting...wow!

Are you having your ceremony at the Swan Club too?

We're having our ceremony in the Pavillion at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, cocktail hour outside by the gardens and reception in the Contessa room.

Hi Everyone.

We are having our Wedding in what I call the Carriage house, then cocktail hour by the gardens and also the Contessa room. Sounds like we have the same Wedding planned. Ours starts at 5:30 p.m. too.

I just can't wait I'm so excited about this!

Hi KarenB,

I'm so glad to be able to 'chat' with another Swan Club bride!

How are you handling the ceremony rehearsal? (what time are you planning to arrive at the Swan Club?)

Are you taking pictures at the Swan Club before your ceremony? Or, after the ceremony during the cocktail hour?

I'm concerned about the rehearsal because I have a fairly large bridal party and I'm wondering how this will work out if we do a quick rehearsal right before the ceremony?

Hey everyone..Well I haven't posted on here much, I've decided to post on this one.

I am getting married at the Swan Club on July 11, 2004 in the garden room. I am so excited and the bm has been great with all my questions and my frequent visits there .

Has anyone tried the cake there before? If so which kind and was it good? Thanx

Happy Planning

At my cousins wedding, the cake was wonderful, she had yellow sponge, with buttercream icing, I think her filling was strawberries, the BQ Manager told me they can do almost anything, anything too fancy tho will cost a bit extra

Hi fellow Swanners! I am havingmy cocktail hour in the Pavillon/Garden and the dinner in the Garden Room. Can't wait - only 40 more days! Has anyone picked their menus yet? What did you decide on? Does anyone know if we can bring in cake pictures for them to decorate our cakes? Man, I have so many questions!!!!

I am planning on arriving there at 4:00 p.m. They said we can't come any earlier. We will see each other for the first time somewhere in the Gardens (our photographer said he knows how to arrange this). Our ceremoney starts at 5:30 p.m. We aren't reharsing b/4. We have a MOH and BM and no further attendants. I think even w/out a rehearsal and a larger BP you'll be fine. Closer to your day you get 'homework'. On this is what order you want people to walk in, etc.

We picked for our main courses filet mignon slices in a port wine sauce, chicken (I can't remember which one) and filet of sole stuffed w/seafood neuberger. For the cocktail hour we added in 2 plates of large shrimps and we also added pastries and chocolate covered strawberries to come w/the other desserts.

For cake we brought in a picture. I believe it is that fondant finish. We are having tiered box style with pearls around the bottom of each layer. We are having cannoli filling.

Hey--

I was married at the Swan Club in 2003. Just a word of warning, I had a horrible experience with one of their house vendors: L+S Entertainment/Diamond Cut Productions. This DJ was so bad, he butchered my reception. He didnt play any songs I asked for, he royally messed up our bridal party introductions and cake cutting, he played the wrong song as the last dance of the night. I could go on and on....when I initially met with them, I was confident, wasnt worried at all. They seemed professional and that they knew what they were doing. I couldnt have been more disappointed in their service though. For instance, I had told the DJ that if a guest requests a song to play it: I had 3 guests come up to me that night to complain the DJ refused their requests!

So do yourself a favor: if you booked them, get someone else. Its worth losing the $200 deposit.
