Wanted to know if there are any other tall brides out there? I am 5'11 and weigh about 155 pounds. I was wondering what kind of dress you think would probably look best? I haven't started dress shopping yet.
Also, what do you do with shoes? I am already taller than my fiancee. I was thinking of wearing satin ballet slippers (without the ties).
Any input?

I'm 5'8' and I wore the ballet slippers with the ties. My FH is a little taller than me at 5'10'
You can wear numerous dresses. Try them all on. I didn't like my dress at all at first. My mom fell in love with it and I only tried it on to please her and then I did not want to take it off once I had it on.

I'm 6'1' and weigh too much ( ). I wore a strapless sheath. You just have to try on different styles. I went in to try on ballgown style dresses and they looked foolish on me.
DH is 5'10' (3 inches shorter than me) and I wore 3' heels. Wear what you like and feel comfortable in. I love heels and neither I nor my DH have any problems with me towering over him, so the height difference wasn't really an issue.

i wish...i'm only 5'3'....
but i wanted to say that you really should check out jenny's pictures because she looked amazing! it's clear that you ar a tall woman....but your confidence was striking! and i'd alsosuggest trying on different types of gowns.....you never know which one is the perfect one until you try it on....

Sounds like you and I have the same body type. I had a strapless gown, but when it came in I decided to have straps put on because of my chest. It was fitted at the top, and had an organza skirt (ballroom style) My hubby is taller then I am so I wore heals, but I think wearing slippers would defintely be beautiful!

I am 5'8. My FH is 6'2. I am wearing an A-line style ball gown (it depends on the slip- I am wearing an A-line). The most important thing that I found was to wear a dropped waist.

Im almost 5'8, FH and I are the same heigth,...Im wearing a halter style dress, full gown..and Im earing 2 3/4 heels..I dont care if I look taller than him, I always do..

To be honest you could really wear anything if you do some research on the wedding sites regarding height and dresses, ex if you were only 5 feet tall a ballgown may look funny I dont think being tall is a hinderance try stuff on and just go with what you like there are no rules
