i have to Polka...and i don't know how to......kinda scared.......am i alone?

Nope, we are from Italian families that have the same traditions lol Eat a lot, dance like crazy, do the tarantella, dance to some Sinatra and eat dessert until you are forced to unbutton your pants lol

we will have portuguese dancing/music. It is like with partners and is really pretty easy to just catch on to. It should be interesting to say the least.
We will also have roast pig(apple in mouth and all) this is a celebratory dish for them I just hope my family participates well

yeah im italian.....never polka'd before.....which is why i don't want to do it lol is it mean if i take a pee break when i hear it start??

Can't say there are any that we're doing that we don't like. We're actually only doing the jordan almonds and that is because I want to. FH is Italian, but it was his great great great grandparents that came from Italy. My dad is straight off the boat so I consider myself more Italian lol

He's 100% Italian. I'm Irish (and German)
to make up for the almonds we hired an 'irish band' and are having them play 'The Unicorn Song' and a few other Irish songs at the wedding. I'm sure FH will retaliate with some Sinatra and the Tarentella but it'll be funny to see the initial reaction to the Jigs and Reels

I am full italian...he is 75% italian, so we both have the same traditions. I have to learn the italian waltz to do with my g-pa

FH is 100% italian and I'm 50/50 irish/puerto rican so we arent doing any real traditional stuff. eat alot.. dance alot... sinatra of course... and a lot of cigars! lol

Polka? Is your FH from Wisconsin, by any chance? I lived in Wisconsin for 2.5 years and my friends (who weren't completely odd) would go to a pub for polka night! They said every wedding they went to featured the chicken dance and lots of other polka.
