I was thinking of walking down the aisle to The Sweetest Thing, but can't determine if this is a happy song or not. Any U2 fans know for sure?
The music itself sounds happy, but these are the lyrics:
My love, she throws me like a rubber ball (Oh, the sweetest thing.) But she won't catch me or break my fall. (Oh, the sweetest thing.) Baby's got blue skies up ahead But in this, I'm a raincloud You know she wants a dry kind of love. (Oh, the sweetest thing.)
I'm losin' you, I'm losin' you Ain't love the sweetest thing?
I wanted to run, but she made me crawl (Oh, the sweetest thing.) Eternal fire, she turned me to straw. (Oh, the sweetest thing.) I know I got black eyes But they burn so brightly for her I guess it's a blind kind of love. (Oh, the sweetest thing.)
I'm losin' you, I'm losin' you Ain't love the sweetest thing? Ain't love the sweetest thing?
Blue-eyed boy meets a brown-eyed girl. (Oh, the sweetest thing.) You can sew it up, but you still see the tear. (Oh, the sweetest thing.) Baby's got blue skies up ahead But in this, I'm a rain-cloud, Ours is a stormy kind of love. (Oh, the sweetest thing.)

Re: any U2 fans out there?
I know Bono wrote the song for his wife after he forgot her birthday and she was pissed at him. So it's an apology song of sorts.

Re: any U2 fans out there?
luv that song!! also luv all i want is you... might be our 1st dance
You say you want Diamonds on a ring of gold You say you want Your story to remain untold
But all the promises we make From the cradle to the grave When all I want is you
You say you'll give me A highway with no one on it Treasure just to look upon it All the riches in the night
You say you'll give me Eyes in a moon of blindness A river in a time of dryness A harbour in the tempest But all the promises we make From the cradle to the grave When all I want is you
You say you want Your love to work out right To last with me through the night
You say you want Diamonds on a ring of gold Your story to remain untold Your love not to grow cold
All the promises we break From the cradle to the grave When all I want is you
You...all I want is... You...all I want is... You...all I want is... You...

Sweetest Thing was DH and my first song, but we nixed it for our wedding song b/c it's not quite fast and not quite slow, so it would be kind of hard to dance to, but I think for walking down the aisle would be perfect.

BTW, Bono wrote that song for his wife b/c they were in a fight and he wanted to apologize and make up. I think that's so sweet, the video is cute too.
