That don't charge such an outrageous site fee? I am amazed at how much they want just to use facilities and I'm having a small wedding , less than 50 people. If there is a reasonable winery to have a wedding on LI at please let me know.
the first places I called after being engaged were vineyards. WAY out of my price range. I am also having a small wedding (50-60 ppl).
I am having my reception at the Vineyard caterers. It is nice because it is a full catering hall on a vineyard. you don't have to rent a tent. Prices are pretty reasonable. You should check them out.
I actually did talk to Macari today and I must say they were very nice. They said the usual site fee is 5,000, but could be less since I'm having a day wedding. Unfortunately I think it will be too expensive to have my wedding at one of the vineyards. Vineyard Caterers wanted a higher min. than I could give them.
