My cousin is getting married upstate NY in 6 weeks and doesn't have anyone to go to the house to do hair & make-up. She doesn't want all of her bridesmaids (me included!) running all over the place to get it done, but can't find any affordable people who are willing to travel to her parent's home in Tuxedo Park (only about 1 1/2 hours from here). Does anyone have any recommendations for me PLEASE????

I think she should call up some local beauty salons and see if someone from there will come to the house or make appts for all of the girls to go there together. One of my friends got married near Kingston (but lives on LI) and that's what they did. I think it would be waay expensive to have someone come all the way up there. Last time we went upstate, with bridge traffice, it took us over two hours to get to Tuxedo!!

Have you called any of the recommended make-up artists on this board and asked them if they will travel? They may charge extra but at least you will know you are getting someone good.
I had my hair done by someone for my cousins wedding in Stroudsmoor PA. Ok so different than what we are used to and for crying out loud the woman couldn't do a French twist. I had nightmare hair. At least it was a Halloween wedding
