anybody been to punta cana and nassau?

anybody been to punta cana and nassau?

I'm considering Punta cana for hm but I want to know if the beach and ocean is as blue and clear and seaweed free like the Bahamas!! This is a silly question I know lol

I just came back from Punta Cana!!!!

the water is clear, blue /green and no seaweed

I went in Nov and we couldnt even go in the water. But I think it depends on where the hotel is located.

The water is clean but not like bahamas.

I Stayed at the Excellence Hotel in Punta Cana and loved it. The only issue is with this hotel, you really cannot go in the water because it is too rough. Luckily my FH and i did not mind and hung out by the pool. we LOVED the food and the idea that it was adults ONLY!

I stayed at the Riu in Punta Cana last year & we had an amazing time. The water was beautiful & food was great!

I Stayed at the Excellence Hotel in Punta Cana and loved it. The only issue is with this hotel, you really cannot go in the water because it is too rough. Luckily my FH and i did not mind and hung out by the pool. we LOVED the food and the idea that it was adults ONLY!


That is where we are consider going! Really the water is that rough? Is that just a DR thing or just that particular part of the beach?

the water is picturesque and no rocks very little seaweed. pure paradise!

as for hotel my fav is ocean blue and golf.. amazing!!!!!! if u go, go to Mikes Coffee which has the best specialty coffee drinks and desserts!

We went in November where there was a hurricane in Haiti but when I was reading reviews on trip advisor many people said the same thing about the water. You can still go on excursions with the water. We did the ziplining which was a lot of fun! The off roaring buggies I hears are a lot f fun too.

But all in all we loved it there. Only one pool with the bar in the pool but plenty of places for drinks. If you have more questions don't hesitate for send me a message!!

I loved both places and was able to go in the Ocean at both places. The DR sand was powdery white and amazing!

I stayed at the Excellence in November too. I wonder if we were there the same time. We loved it regardless of the beach!! Almost booked the one in Playa Mujeres for our HM but wanted a resort with a great beach this time and be closer to things so we are staying a little more south of cancun in Riviera Maya.

Punta cana is amazing and is the best vacation thus far that ive been on. I recommend the royal suites turquesa. Its part of the grandpalladium resort complex so thats 3-4 resorts in one. Royal suites is adults only. I would totally go back there

i went to punta cana for spring break in college, so i wouldn't recommend our inexpensive hotel for your honeymoon, but i loved the beach there. we didn't have rough water like one other poster said on here. it was pretty calm, super clear, no seaweed and there was a large sandy beach. really great

Fh and I went to Majestic Elegance a couple of years ago and personally, this is just my own opinion, I hated the food.

OMG!! I just booked our Honeymoon at the Exellence we got a great price and a ton of freebies. I wish we could go next week lol
