Re: Anybody doing Weight Watchers????
I am on WW. Today was kind of a bad day for me since I had a work lunch. I tried to be good, had a Cobb Salad though. It had to cheese, but it had bacon. Oh well. I counted 15 points for it. Probably more than I needed to, but better safe than sorry.
Anyways, I am always having a hard time figuring out lunch. I work 9-5, so I can't really cook anything, unless I bring it and microwave. Usually I'll make a salad with grilled chicken, or have a turkey sandwich on WW bread. Sometimes I bring leftovers from dinner, but that can get boring.

Re: Anybody doing Weight Watchers????
I just started doing it. I bought those WW blueberry muffins and I had one for breakfast yesterday with a big glass of water. I was suprisingly full afterwards. and the muffin was good!

Re: Anybody doing Weight Watchers????
I'm on weight watchers, well I really haven't been since xmas, but...technically. lol Anything that you have to bring to work is difficult, luckily my office is by my parents house...so I have some more options.
My fave lunch is a whole grain light english muffin, and I spray olive oil on it while toasting, then add tomatoes, with a little salt, pepper, garlic powder and mozz cheese on top! low point lunch...one point for the english muffin, 1 pt for evoo, 2 pts cheese. I make pb & j and tuna on these english muffins, i love that they are 1 pt!
Also, the ww veggie soup, homemade one, the recipe is in the book, is delic! I bring that and I add a half a cup of chic peas to it and a cup of ww pasta, then i sprinkle some parm cheese on top, totally filling!!!

I usually bring a Smart Ones or Lean Cuisine for lunch that way I have some variety and it's easy.

I was eating those a lot too, but then I noticed that while I was losing weight, I was soooo bloated all the time. I looked like I was pregant, my belly was huge. I realized that it was from all the sodium in the Smart Ones/Lean Cuisines. Now I just keep one or two in the freezer at work, in case I forget my lunch one day, or something.

It is only 1 point for a wedge of cheese. It is kind of like cream cheese. It is delicious!

Re: Anybody doing Weight Watchers????
Arnold's has something called 'Select Sandwich Thins'....they are so good, esp if you like the english muffins or WW bread. Plus they come in whole wheat, multi grain, and white, and are only 1 point. I keep them at work and then just get turkey or chicken from the deli, or use them with egg whites in the morning for a 2 point egg sandwich! I also like to bring the Smart Ones to work....they aren't all good, but I have found some that are really tasty, filling, and low points!

Re: Anybody doing Weight Watchers????
I am actually going to start WW in the next few days but I was wondering how difficult is it to calculate the points of whatever you are eating? For example, if I got a lunch form the salad bar by my job will I be able to figure out how any points it is worth on my own? Thanks!

Re: Anybody doing Weight Watchers????
You'll find it in the cream cheese section. There are 3 flavors: Plan, French Onion and Garlic & Herbs. They are round packages. I like the French Onion a lot. The Garic and Herb is great too!

Re: Anybody doing Weight Watchers????
I have found that if I know what I'm going to be around a salad bar at work, or sushi night with the girls...I always try to think about it and plan ahead. Salad bars are pretty healthy until you start adding things liek cheeses and croutons etc. get the dressing on the side and keep measuring spoons in your desk that way you can know how much you used when calculating your points!

It is not hard to calculate your points, but just be careful with what you add. Sometimes I like to add things like cheese, or breaded chicken, and that's where I run into trouble. Most veggies are 0 points. Avocado is usually 2 points for a 1/4 and this is a good fat. Add beans for protein and always go for the fat-free dressing and ask for it on the side and add a little. Most salads are yummy enough (to me) that you don't need too much dressing. Or try Lemon juice.
