not doing the electric slide, macarena, etc. at their wedding. Some of our relatives actually sounded disappointed when I adimanlty stated that there would be none of that.

Well I am absolutely terrible at dancing, so I doubt I will do much of it to begin with, so if it will make him happy then he can have it. But youre definitely right, I dont want the whole thing to be him and my mother doing the electric slide...haha. I think I will just have a little private chat with the DJ beforehand.....hehe...sneaky

lol i think i'm one of the few brides who said we HAVE to have them played. I love the Cotten Eye Joe and i love watching my aunts and uncles do the electric slide. it'll depend on the flow of the night though, so if no one is dancing (which i doubt will be the case, i'll def have them played and drag people up to dance with me) but if the dance floor is rocking i dont really want to kill the mood by playing them...
we'll see how it goes. if someone requests them, they can definitely be played

ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER CHICKEN, CONGA, MARARENA, YMCA OR ANYTHING.
ETA: My DJ mentioned they sometimes have to do them to get people up and i said no, people out families DANCE and never leave the floor- organized dances are not needed.
