I never did, but my parents have taken 2 different cruises out of NY. Just this past summer they went to Bermuda and the first one they went north to canada...they loved both of them.

My parents went on the Norweigan Dawn and absolutely LOVED it (and they are 'cruise veterans' so they know a lot about cruises)

DH & my honeymoon cruise was supposed to originate from NY, then it was switched to leave from Bayonne NJ .. we took Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Seas , a 10 day cruise to the caribbean .. we loved it

I thik I am going on a cruise out of NY with mom and grandma, I am excited!

I was on the Norweign dawn the first year it sailed. We loved it! Any questions ask away, maybe I can answer some, or FM mail me.

I went on a cruise out of NY last year. It was A Celebrity cruise (ship was the Zenith) and we were supposed to go to Bermuda. It was the same week as the giant storm and they ended up rerouting us to Nova Scotia, Canada & Maine. It ws still one of the best vacations ever!!

The crew, food and entire trip was awesome! I would highly recomment the Zenith.

Our HM was a Carnival cruise out of NY (on The Legend) to the caribbean & it was amazing!

A couple of my friends went and performed on the Dawn. They were part of Rosie's gay family cruise. They loved it!!! They said that it was a nice ship and the food was great.

FH & I cruised out of NY to Bermuda in 2002 on the Pacific Princess...It was great

My parents just did Norweigan Dawn in May...They raved about it & my dad wants to go again!

i will NEVER go on PRINCESS ever again! The cruise was great, the safety issues were another story- I got locked in a bathroom and they did not do anything to help me the, cocoa cola lady was outside the bathroom door seleing those soda cards, while I was screaming at the top of my lungs for help did NOTHING. And someone else got stuck in the bathroom before me and they did nothing to fix the problem, a passenger helped me get out after 20 minutes. I am now claustrophobic! there were other things..... I am so angry at them they did nothing to help , I am on the mist of reporting them to other avenues- EX- BBB, Consumer Affairs.

just check out the ship...i know norigean has a very old ship (even know it might of been updated within the pass few years) is very bad. Its old, doesn't have the the bells and whistles...

however, i think this ship was just built... and offers freestyle cruises...do what you want, when you want and my causal dress

The Norweign Sea aka 'The Norweign Nightmare' is an old ship and the Crown I think is also an old ship. This is a new ship, the Norweign Dawn.
