Re: Anybody familiar with Bill Fredericks Photography?

I hired Sam LaHoz.
From an artistic aspect I loved his work but we saw other photographers whose photo style was just as good.

We booked them because from a TECHNICAL aspect they were better. Namely with the way they develop their black and white, which in our case was very important because we're doing 50% black and white 50% color-no sepia.
My fiance is a hobby photograper and he was very impressed with their method of devloping the black and whites (all hand processed, top grade paper etc.) and also with the cameras they use.
It's all very time consuming and complicated but it takes about 45 minutes to develop a single 10x10 print.

Again, theses are all technical things and I don't think most people would even notice if they weren't into photography themselves. But for FH it was worth the extra $1000. For me, I developed an instant liking towards Sam and that was good enough for me. My wedding isn't until January so I can't give you anymore info until after that.

Susans:

I'm interested in Sam LaHoz's work as well.

I'm pretty particular about photography. My father had to learn photography for his job and eventually it became a hobby. After helping him develop photos for so many years, I got into it as well. I haven't developed anything in a number of years, but I'm dying to get the equipment to my house so I can start up again. I miss it!

One question, do they allow you to have the negatives/chromes?

I think you get all the negatives back after one year.
