Really good. I went to PS 133 for grammer school and its one of the best in the city. I loved it and i just passed it the other day and it looks the same.

FM me if you want more information about the school or surrounding area...

Supposed to be one of the top 2 or 3 in NYC.

Go to the DOE web site and then go to 'Our Schools'. You can click on a map of the district which will list the schools. If you know of the specific school, you can look up its stats and also see how it compares to similar schools.

Wow! Thats great! I just realized what school district we were in after being in our co-op for a year! Good thing it is a good one! So what towns does it encompass?

Definitely Bayside. Glen Oaks maybe? Probably Little Neck. Maybe Bellerose too- I just know on the map it's that mid-to-upper section of eastern Queens, except for Whitestone, which is 25.

26 is Oakland Gardens, and I think part of Hollis Hills.

Its probably the best district in Queens.

it also includes Douglaston (in addition the areas previously stated) and is definitely regarded as the best DOE school district.

Glad to hear that......does anyone know what high school is in this district?

Its definitely the best school district in Queens.

As for high schools, I'm not sure. To be honest, I don't think any of the public high schools in Queens are any good any more.

By the way, where is the Stop and Shop near here?

Go to the DOE web site ...

As suggested above, you should check out the DOE site to get more info about the district. The advanced search is good for finding all the schools in the district - I know that there are 5 high schools (including Cardozo and Bayside High) in district 26.

I live in school district #26 - (hollis hills)
The elementary school was rated the best in NYC - the middle school leaves some to be desired from what my neighbors tell me.
