I'm debating. We talk to everybody regularly that's going to be there, so is it necessary?

We did them ours thru evite. Everyone was informed also via the bridalparty newsletter.

We also did our RD invitations through evite. Our parents made phone calls to those whose email addresses we didn't have.

Until I found this board I had never heard of invites for the RD. I don't think they are necessary especially if you are in regular contact with the invitees. V&S didn't do them, but come to think of it I wonder if it was more stressful calling everyone and making sure they all knew when and where and how to get there? I will probably do invites only because some of FI's friends make me nervous, his best man didn't even show for the E-party because he thought it was the following weekend!

I didn't do them. Nobody thought anything of it. I just called and emailed the info to everyone.

I am! But you already knew that! Maybe you don't really need them since you are in such close contact with them. I def did cause we have a lot of out of towners!

We did... everyone knew about it ahead of time anyway. We just bought RD invites from a party store. We didn't order any, we didn't need to.

We're probably not. We're just going to tell them. I have never gotten a written invite to a RD.
