I'm considering just paying for the photographer and not getting an album. I'm def not getting parent albums anyway but I think I can put together my own.
How much do you think I could save??

Nope - not getting any albums. I can either put them together myself or FI can put together a DVD montage which I'm sure our parents would prefer.

we didn't get any. I did one of the books through snapfish and I really like it because it's light weight, easy to pass around, and I was able to add as many pics as I wanted

I plan on making my own albums. I like this site and this knot bio. It has a bunch of helpful links.
your saving $600+++ on one album (depeding on who is doing it and how many pages).
Although after seeing the album that my photographer puts together, I may end up buying one of hers later on down the road.

I'm not- just great photos. sometime after the wedding I will deal with the albums...I'd rather spend my money getting the pics right and do something with them later. the technology today makes the DIY album so much easier!

We are going to save the money for albums-and DIY them for our parents since we will need 3.

You are going to save a TON of $$$$. We hired Silverfox and they give you all the negs and you are not committed to getting any pics from them. My cousin is a photographer so we are going to make our own books and enlarge our own pics at cost!!! As long as you can get your negs, do it yourself!
