We did and only needed it on one (was sent back with the no box checked off, and no name written on it)

i didn`t and i only had a few who the heck is this ones but it was easy to narrow down as long as you have your invite list!!

I did put #'s.. not invisible ink though..
it did come in handy for me, I got back 1 completely blank.. and I have some guests that have the same names (ie: like 2 Mr & Mrs Smiths)

I handwrote small numbers on the back of the card on a corner...
