My Fh and I are short on time & $$$ for HM, so we decided today that we will either go to Key West (he has never been there) or to Atlantis (neither of us have ever been there). We were originally going to Italy for 2 weeks, but that just ain't happening! Any advice or good travel agents??

Atlantis is expensive! I did not stay there, but went on an excursion off a cruise there- it was beautiful!

We booked our honeymoon at Atlantis - $6000 for one week! (We ended up having to postpone it indefinitely, which I am sad about, but it will be a huge expense when we do go...and i WILL get there eventually! )

Depending on the time of year, key west can be expensive too...what time of year will you be going?

January! It sux b/c we were originally going to europe & the flights were really cheap but the hotels were outrageous! now I don't know what we'll do.

What about Vegas or a cruise? The keys shouldn't be too bad in January since its after the school break!

I wanted to cruise but FH gets sea sick!! He wanted Vegas, but I am afriad I'll never come home!!! 24 hour drinking gambling & shopping is very dangerous for me
Edited: That's why I like the Keys and there is alot to do even though it is such a small island.

maybe you can go to nassau bahamas.. then its a short trip to atlantis by cab.. and stay there a couple of nights?

check out the Carribean packages at www.luxurylink.com, check out only the auctions, the best buys are still expensive. You can sometimes get a beautiful 7 night hotel package that would normally be $3000 for $700. Then, you just have to cover your airfare. For that you can try www.skyauction.com
We worked out a $7000 fiji package for $4000, we could have worked out a package on St. Lucia worth $4000 for under $1600 (but we really wanted Fiji since we're honeymooning in August and it's hurrican season in the Carribean).

I didn't stay at Atlantis, but do not let the comercial fool you. The area around there is not very nice. People on the beach offsite will actually wake you up to ask if you want to buy cigars, have your hair braided etc. I couldn't wait to get out of there and back on the ship. The hotel is nice, but 6000 for one week - I think you could do better.
