I love this book ... it always makes me cry. If you've never heard or read this book, I highly recommend it!

You guys crack me up! I said I had to get it, too! LOL!
And, I have to say....I am SO PROUD of the writers for making Rachel cry while they were singing Happy Birthday...it just seemed so natural (coming from a Mommy who was a puddle during cake on her baby's 1st Bday!)

It was funny at first...but I was really moved at the end too. When my time comes I'll add it to the list.

I can NEVER read this book without crying!!! Even before I was PG, now .... FORGET IT!!!! I pulled it off my shelf this morning, while I was thinking about it ... and one of the teachers walked in and caught me crying in my room! What a mess I was!
Definitely put it on your must have list! Especially you, Claud! If you haven't read this one ... get a BOX of tissues .... you'll need every one!

sounds like a great book - very touching. I liked this episode, I almost cried when they were all together at the end. I knew exactly what Rachel meant when they were in the car and she was upset.

Didn't see Friends, but I know the 'Love You Forever' book.
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I found book as being kind of...um...creepy.
It starts off very sweet-but as the little boy grows up into a teenager and then a man, the plot takes a very strange turn. I don't want to give the story away-it looks like some of you haven't read it.
JMO, of course

I understand what you mean ... you could certainly come away with that feeling, but I don't think that its really meant to be taken literally. I think its more about bonding ... relationships & how they grow & change & perservere through life ... & appreciating what (and WHO) is really important in your life!

Yup, you're right...I did take it too literally.
I think it also helps if you are a mommy...something I haven't yet been blessed to be!!
