Loose weight after stopping their birth control? FH and I wanna start trying right away to get pregnant after the wedding and this month i stopped my birth control. some people told me they gained weight holy crap i hope i dont! oking to loose !!! derrr haha

I gained alot of weight after I stopped BC, but then again, I honestly dont know if it was from stopping the pill or other factors.

I gained also when I went off. Close to 10 pounds. When I went back on I lost it.

thats what i don't get....the side effect of going on the pill is weight gain so how come ppl are gaining weight when they go off?

any time the amount of hormones in your body changes it can impact weight gain - so when you go on the pill it changes and then after having been on it for a while your body has regulated to it, so going off can cause weight gain.
one of the GREAT things about being a woman
my sister just started a new pill though and she dropped 4 lbs. the first week! she is one of the few lucky ones!

I was the opposite went on and gained 7 pounds
Have yet to come off [wedding is in 2011] to see if the weight comes off.

I def gained when I started. My tush got bigger. I think when I come off I better do it after the HM. Esp if I am going to gain weight

ALTHOUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH and I can't believe I forgot to mention this...
There was a study conducted on the effects of bc and toning muscles in women. Women who were on the pill found it HARDER to tone up, but women who came off Toned up more effiencently. The pill plays a major factor, they say, in our, um, jiggle. Thank you Allure Magazine.
So if this is true... I wouldn't mind toning up quicker when I come off... some food for thought...

I don't remember if I gained any weight when I first went on birth control, but I recently went off, maybe 3 months ago or so, and I haven't had any weight change, if anything, I lost weight.

I gained alot of weight when I stopped taking BC. Probably around 10 pounds!!!!!
I recently got back on the pill and am slowly losing. But I should also note that the pill really affects me weight, emotions ect.
