I know this is a long shot, but I really liked this reading that the priest read at Precana, but I have no idea where it is from.
It is about a house coming down, a city in ruins etc.
He compared it to New Orleans and how love got them through all bad times.
If by any chance anyone knows...that would be great.
it is supposedly popular.

Re: Anyone a Bible officinato???
It's might be the story of Sodom and Gomorrah Genesis 19:1-30; Luke 17:28-30
Or Jericho, both of those cities were left in ruins, but I don't know where the house and the other part comes in.... hmmm

Maybe you should check with the preist because I don't think it's the story of Sodom and Gomorrah... that's the one where Lot and his wife were fleeing from Sodom and Gomorrah and God told them not to look back on the city, Lot's wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt. Does that sound familiar??

Also, check out Joshua chapter 6 - that's the story of Joshua and the walls of Jericho coming down and how God rescued Rahab, the harlot.
You can't take these stories at face value sometimes, there are much deeper meanings and significance, which is what your preist may have been referring to.
