Anyone a Financial Advisor?

I've received a lot of hits on my resume for financial advisor positions and was wondering what it entails. FM me if you are one and can help me understand the position better. Thanks!

Alot of those positions are VERY sales based. You have to find your own customers to 'advise' and your salary can sometimes be based on the financial products that you sell them. Alot of shady companies out there advertise for these positions so be careful and do alot of research!

Thanks! I'm in Marketing so the sales thing doesn't phase me, but it's a completely different industry for me and I just don't know if I want to make that kind of a change. Thanks for the info though!

I work for a certified financial planner and he sells life insurance, annuities, equities, that type of thing. You will probably need to go get your series six or life insurance license.
