Anyone a Personal Trainer of Fitness Instructor???

I am looking to get certified and am all set to take the classes. I just wanted to know how it works when you get a job. Do you actually work for the gym, or do you contract yourself out? How is the pay and where do you work?

i have had friends who have done this--- they are paid by the gym after they are certified (they read chapters of stuff from books & then take the test) you may go on your own though.. like do personal lessons too afterwards or take your clients from work & then go to their home and do private lessons-- it depends on what you want.

thank you. and yes, i am registered for the classes and test. i would like to know more about pay and benefits and what its like on a day to day basis.
