anyone a renthead here?

I'm obsessed with the show Rent and pretty much have been for the past 9 years---just wondering if I was the only one...kind of random, what can I say?

I love the show, but I wouldn't say I'm obsessed.

Definitely a RENT head.


Fh is so tired of hearing me sing the songs though that he REFUSES to go see it with me

My FH LOVED Rent. It was the only 'non-movie' performance that he's ever seen that he actually enjoyed. We saw it 4 years ago, and he has recently started asking if I wanna go again!

I've seen it I think 4 times. As many times as Ive tried I've never won the rent lottery. I went with a group of 8 people once and NONE of us won! I think Fh is finally going to consent to seeing it. Are there any celebrities in the cast now? The last time I saw it Joey Fatone was Mark. EWWWWW....He was SO NOT MARK. I wanted to cry. He was doing all of his NSYNC moves.

I was thinking that. We can try the lottery and if that doesn't work tkts

FH and I won the lottery - he did, actually. I never win anything.

We also got $20 student rush tix from the box offices for 42nd Street, the Music Man, AND Thoroughly Modern Millie

We only pay full price for shows if it's for a birthday gift or something, and usually not even then
We spent Doug's I guess 19th birthday waiting on line at6 am for rocky horror rush tickets.

I always try to get Rush if possible. The reason they do the rent lottery is b/c it's so popular (and it was much more popular when it first came out) that people would camp out overnight for rush tickets.

I am!! Both DH and I am! I have seen it 17 times and he is up to 9...but hey, he is not from NY! He has the soundtrack in his car...

I have seen Joey Fatone and Drew Lachey as Mark but my favorite Mark was Trey Ellett.
My college roommate was friends with one fo the guys in the cast so I saw it the most times with her.
They should bring back Manley Pope as Roger!!

I can't wait for the movie!!!

I saw this show last Halooween and was SOOOOO disappointed. I like listening to the original cast, but the cast I saw (with a few exceptions) stunK!!!!!


Rumor is that it is going to close within the next year.

my FH won't see it with me either!!!!! GRRRR!!!We should def. make a Rent G2G!!!I love it--its actually a sickness! I've seen in 14 times (the 14th time was on Friday)...its great. I was just wondering since the movie's coming out in November...Rosaria Dawson is playing Mimi...but the rest of the cast is a large portion of the orginal broadway cast---which I'm so excited!
