i am out of work right now and i have been thinking about becoming a travel agent, i would work outside the home, but maybe eventually from home on my own when i start a family, i have a friend who's mom does this, i just was curious of any other feedback, how do you like it? what kind of schedule do you work? how did you become one? basically anything you can think of to tell me! TIA!!

hi i was a travel agent for a couple of years - there really isnt much money in it anymore - after the airlines stopped paying commissions the business got really bad.
i interned with a company in brooklyn while i was in high school and just kept working for them after i graduated. i mean it has alot of travel perks - but if you are looking for something to make money with i would recommend you keep looking.
the place i use to work went bankrupt 2 years ago - and it was a huge place with tons of business.
