Anyone a Woodbury Country Club bride??????

My wedding is in June and just wanted some feedback on the food and service at this place. Woodbury CC says I have to use their inhouse floral shop if i want the gazebo decorated for our ceremony, has anyone heard of Flowers by Matthew, Spitz and Peck Flowers, or Jack & Rose Flowers? I also don't have a band yet but Woodbury recommended NiteFlight.

I'm getting married at WCC in July. I'm also using the gazebo area for the ceremony. They did tell me that I HAD to use their in house florist-but it's not true. I'm using a friend of mine who owns a florist. As long as the florist stays until the end of the ceremony to break it down, you can use who you want....I'm having a DJ so I'm sorry I can't recommend a band. Have you gone for a taste testing yet or plan the menu? We haven't been there since the summer.....

I didn't know you can use other florists besides the in-house ones because they told me the in the past some florists broke their gazebo and since that incident they only wanted florists that they know. But i'm glad to know that it is okay to use another. I was also told that they don't do tasting anymore because people were taking advantage of it and brought the who entire family to the tasting and it got to be really expensive for them but since we did book this place for our wedding ceremony and reception they might be willing to give us a tasting. I need to call them about that and actually demand that we have a tasting when it's close for us to pick our menu. Did they offer you a tasting 74bride?

HI, Nope-I just called about that and they said they don't do tastings. They said there was a showcase last night with some food. I'm disappointed...we should be able to have a trial of the menu. As long as you tell them that the florist will stay throughout the ceremony, it should not be a problem.
