Ariana Waterfall actually donates to a local soup kitchen. You can make a special request for them to go to another place. I just wanted to make sure they were donated.
I am having CHIPS soup kitchen in Brooklyn pick them up!

I think we might ask the hall to pack up 2 dinners and maybe a little cocktail hour food for FH and myself since I'm guessing we won't have too much time to enjoy it. I don't think we'd ask for ALL the leftovers though, but if they're just going to throw it out I wonder if there's some way to donate it to a shelter?

I'm asking because I work for a non-profit that services homeless families. I would like for my co-workers to schelp left overs back to distribute to our families the following day.

Fox Hollow told us they'll make up doggie bags for the family and whatevers left over they give to Meals on Wheels or a similar organization. They also suggested that if we add the Vienesse Hour we should buy cake boxes from Rexcraft or wherever and people who are too full to enjoy it can take some of the cookies home...we'll have to look into that!

That is sooo sweet!!! I think if you let them know the reason for it, I don't see why they wouldn't!

I was told by a former Fox Hollow bride that they will not pack up food that was already cooked?! SO i figured that doggie bags were not give in. Has anyone called the hall to find out if they can take home food???

The Westbury Manor packed up a ton of desserts for us and for our families to bring home. We also bought small plastic containers and had them out at the venetian hour so people could take stuff home with them or back to the hotel.

how i feel is you paid for it, it's yours.
But that's more or less for the dinners, not the cocktail hour food.

Re: Anyone Asking Reception Hall to Pack up Left overs?
Our hall did it without me knowing it and sent it in my father's car to put in my freezer. This is the sad part, we didn't get to eat much and I was really looking forward to tasting some things. While we were on our honeymoon, my freezer broke and everything (including the wedding cake) went bad!

Re: Anyone Asking Reception Hall to Pack up Left overs?
from what I understand, board of health says any cooked foods sitting over an hour have to be tossed. I was told they would not be able to donate any food because of this. However, our guests are offered seconds and can take home doggy bags....
as for the cookies and pastires, we are brining them home!!
